Dog's in Finals

Paula has just let me know the Dog's are in the finals tomorrow at the tournament in CT. Good Luck Dogs! Woof!

Dogs in Connecticut for Tourney

The Black Dogs are in CT for a tournament. We are waiting for an update. We heard that they are 1-1. With a victory tomorrow AM they play in the final against the team they lost to. This is second hand from Mark so I'm not sure if I got it right. I'm waiting to here from Paula for the straight scoop. I'll keep you all posted.

GOOD NEWS - COVER IT LIVE FOR NATIONALS

It looks like I can do Cover It Live with my Blackberry! This means I can shoot and blog while the action is on. I will post photos during periods if time allows. The periods are so short it may be difficult. Maybe after the games. Can't wait getting cranked up!

The Williamson Media Team to Attend over 40/50 Nationals

Janet and I will be attending the wild party and some hockey playing down in Ellenton FL April 28-May1. The airfare has been paid and the room about to be. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the competition.

I am not sure if we will do Cover it Live or not. It was a bit of a stretch the last time we did it in Rochester. I am tending to do updates to the blog on my Blackberry and take more photos. We'll see what I can dream up for coverage. On this blog I can give scoring and some updates via email but you will have to refresh the screen your self. I'll see what works better. I hope to have more photos up here on the blog.

Final from Vt.

Hi Folks,

Sorry we could not make it to the last game! We did some site seeing around the Gorge, Quechee and Woodstock. Would have loved to do more. The Simon Pierce glass factory was really great and the driving around was pretty cool as well. I will post some photos tonight.

The Dog's lost to another twenty something all star Vt. team and did not make it into the final on goal differential. But if they had won they would have had to play at 3:30 PM. Uggh.

Thanks to all who came up to play and especially Alicia for the use of her house. The Saturday night pork dinner at the community house in Barnard was a real treat. Thanks again to Alicia for getting us in. It was great fun.

Game's 2&3 wrap up

Day two was a good Black Dog day with a win in the morning 5-1 and a tough battle with the twenty somethings of the Valley Cats (the home travel team) a 2-1 loss. The rough part is if the Dog's win this morning they will play the Cats again this afternoon in the final. I'll be back with an update tonight for the final result.

Quechee Tournament Update

Good Morning folks,

The Black Dog Women's hockey team has struck the first blow in this one with a solid 5-1 victory over a team from Ottawa. The Dog's outshot the opposition 28-11. Terry played well in net despite giving up the shutout in the last two minutes of play.

Now for the big news! Denise Davis received the #1 star for pumping in a hat trick. That's right 3 goals and was a force for the Dog's.

Hope to be back with photos from both games some time today or tonight.

Black Dog's Take 4th Straight Darcy Title

The Dog's do it again. The Raven's were a tough match for the Dog's keeping the score close for most of the game. Cathy Silva popped in two mid third period goals to seal the victory. After the game all the Dog's were in agreement that the Raven's were a good team and gave them a run for their money. Photos from the tourney should be up by tomorrow. A great weekend with the girls and we should be joining them for the Woodstock Vt. blast in November.

Dogs win another

The addition of Julie Theodore and Amy Mulvey gave the Dogs a little bit more as they beat the Storm 5-0. Their passing was crisp and their position play was excellent throughout this one. They are waiting on the score of the Newt's vs MIT game to find out if they go on to the championship game. When we left it was 1-0 Newt's. MIT and the Dog's are tied in points and MIT needs to score 5 or more goals to make into the championship game.

We'll let you know!

Darcy Tournament Update

The Black Dog's are on the prowl!!! With a different cast of players on the roster than in past years the Dog's are playing pretty good. They won the first game against the Newt's 2-1 and tied MIT in the second 2-2. Today they play the Storm at 9:00 AM and then into the playoff for the overall. It could get tricky because they are tied with MIT on points.

Log on tonight for photos and the final result.

Take Care.

Championship Game Dog's v Connecticut

Nothing is easy for the Dog's this time around. Laurie's injury ways heavy on the team and all of us but we will prevail. Laurie may be able to make the game to watch which will be a huge lift to the team.
